For the past fifteen years I've had a pretty severe sleep disorder. I wake up most mornings at 5 am and, often, don't fall back asleep for at least an hour or two. Add to that my life-long habit of going to sleep after 12, and I have a recipe for a mere three to four hours of sleep.
However, over the past six months of unemployment, I have figured out a solution that while obvious, remains brilliant in its simplicity. Make sure there's nowhere I have to be the next day before noon! Mornings are overrated, anyway. I mean, who wants to get their day started at 9 or 10 or 11?
I hope my next gig understands. No meetings before 1.
Just for today, I can find solutions for my life.

you and i have the same sleeping problem. it occurs to me only from time to time. i have always want to watch the sunrise, i did once on a dirt bike trip, whenever i woke up too early. but i was never able to do that for my bed is way too comfy.
